The discovery was shared by Artem Russakovskii (@ArtemR) from Android Police, who posted screenshots and details on social media.

What is Sora 2?

According to the Play Store description, the app “turns your ideas into videos.”
It further explains:

“Sora is a new kind of creative app that transforms text and image prompts into hyper-realistic videos with sound, powered by the latest OpenAI technology.”

In essence, Sora functions like a TikTok powered entirely by AI, where every post is generated by OpenAI’s generative models. The concept is similar to Meta’s Vibes, another platform focused on synthetic content — but Sora stands out for producing videos exclusively through artificial intelligence.

Launched on September 30, 2025, Sora quickly became a viral sensation.
By December 10, 2025, it had already surpassed 1 million downloads on iOS, where it was initially exclusive.
